Associate Vice-President (Finance) Search

Dear members of the campus community,

I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Nola Joorisity as Associate Vice-President (Finance) effective August 1, 2018. As Associate Vice-President (Finance) Nola will be a key member of the university’s leadership team, responsible for providing broad strategic oversight of the University’s financial operations and supply management services. Ms. Joorisity originally joined the University of Regina in 2013 as a lecturer with the Paul J Hill School of Business.

Ms. Joorisity’s background includes extensive financial experience from over 25 years of working in various leadership roles in both the private and public sectors. In particular, she was Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director of Greystone Management Investments Inc. and Chief Executive Officer and Director of Education at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan. Nola is recognized as a collaborative team player with the proven ability to establish strong personal working relationships with staff, faculty and external stakeholders.

Nola Joorisity has been a member of SaskEnergy’s Board of Directors since June 2013. She is Vice Chair of the SaskEnergy Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee. Nola holds the designations as a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant, Certified Management Accountant and Fellow Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan. Nola has also recently obtained her Chartered Director’s designation.

An active community member, Nola currently serves on a number of boards and committees. In particular, she is the Chair of the Public Employees’ Pension Board, Past Chair of the CPA Western School of Business, and Past Chair of the Premier’s Award Committee for Excellence in the Public Service.

The Committee will be supported by Nancy Kazeil (Human Resources) and Lori Todd (Vice-President Administration Office).
