Research:

The biosynthesis of natural products, to elucidate the biosynthetic pathways and to understand their individual enzyme mechanisms by employing biochemistry (enzyme purification and characterization, kinetics, and inhibitors), molecular biology (cloning, expression, and mutagenesis), and organic chemistry (synthesis of labeled intermediates and substrates).
