Title: Confidence Intervals for Ratio Medians of Independent Log-normal Distributions (105 kB)
Abstract:
This presentation focuses on the construction of confidence intervals for the ratio medians of two independent log-normal distributions. Normal approximation (NA), the method of variance estimate recovery (MOVER), and generalized confidence interval (GCI) were proposed for the construction of the CIs. Coverage probabilities and average lengths using Monte Carlo simulations were assessed to compare the performance of the different methods. In addition, the proposed construction of confidence intervals would be applied using the datasets of PM2.5 from two areas in Bangkok, Thailand.
