Meet our newest adjunct faculty member, Dr. Seyed Mahmoud Manjegani!
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is pleased to welcome Dr. Seyed Mahmoud Manjegani as our newest adjunct faculty member!
As a professor of mathematics at Isfahan University of Technology in Isfahan, Iran, Dr. Manjegani is an esteemed researcher in the fields of operator theory, matrix analysis, and quantum information theory. After earning his Master of Science at Isfahan University of Technology under the supervision of Dr. G. Vakili, he pursued his Ph.D. at the University of Regina under the supervision of Dr. Doug Farenick where he studied inequalities on operator algebras. Currently, his research interests extend his doctoral research on inequalities on operator algebras and majorization in order to study their applications in quantum information theory, and his recent publications include topics on semi-doubly stochastic operators and majorization, asymptotic formulae and inequalities for point spectrum in max algebras, and Fredholm separating maps.
Dr. Manjegani is particularly excited about joining the vibrant research community at the University of Regina, and he is looking forward to collaborating with the talented faculty members and students here!
Welcome to the department, Dr. Manjegani! We are excited for your return to the department community, and we are looking forward to learning about your research with operator algebras!
