Myth: When a person says "no" they may secretly enjoy being forced, teased or coerced into sex or they are "playing hard to get".
Fact: No one enjoys being assaulted. It is the responsibility of individuals to get a clear "yes" before and during sex.
Myth: If a person buys someone dinner or drinks, gives a present, does a favour, has had sex in the past... they owe them sex.
Fact: No one owes anyone sex. It cannot be assumed that friendliness and openness are an invitation for sex.
Myth: "Real" sexual assault victims will go to the police.
Fact: There are lots of really good reasons why people do not disclose to formal supports, including the police. It doesn't mean it did not happen.
