Application Process, University of Regina Student

Both undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to live in University of Regina Housing. Please note that preference is given to students studying full-time (9 credit hours or more).

Steps to Apply for Accommodations

  1. Obtain a University of Regina Student ID

  2. Register with Housing Services Housing Portal

  3. Apply for accommodations with Residence Services Housing Portal

You must have a University of Regina 9-digit Student ID number to register for Housing. If you do not have one, please visit www.uregina.ca/futurestudents to complete an application for Undergraduate Admissions. If you have any questions regarding your Student ID Number, please contact Admissions directly at 306-585-4591.

* Please Note: It will take approximately one week from the date you complete the form for your Student Number to be issued to you. You will need to call or e-mail Admissions to receive your number *

If you are an ESL Student, you may apply with the ESL Program to obtain a student number. If you are an International Student, you may apply to UR International to be issued a student number.

If you are a Graduate Student you may apply through Grad Studies online.

Registration and Accommodation Application Online

To apply for Housing, please register through our Housing Portal first. Once you’ve completed the steps to register, you will be e-mailed a login and password.

Housing Services primary form of contact is e-mail. In order to receive important notifications/information about your application, please list an e-mail address that you check often and add our e-mail address to your Contact/Safe Sender List to ensure spam filters do not reject our mail.

If possible, please list an e-mail address that is NOT a 'Hotmail' or 'Live' address - Hotmail/Live filters reject our correspondence, please ensure that you receive important information and/or room offers by providing an email address that will accept our messages. Housing Services cannot be held responsible for e-mails that are blocked or returned undeliverable!!

Once you have completed basic registration, please complete all the steps in the Application Menu to ensure your application is processed in a timely manner. We can not process applications that are incomplete; applications will not be processed until the $50 application fee has been received.

Payment of $50 Application Fee       

In the final step of the online application process, there is an option to pay within our secured site. This is the quickest and easiest way to ensure your fee has been paid. If you prefer not to pay online, you can call 306-585-5450, or, 1-866-354-3394 with a valid credit card number. Office hours for making payments are Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. (Payments received after 4:00 p.m. will be processed the following business day). To make payments in person, please go to Kisik Towers, Room KT149.1. To pay by cheque or money order, please make payable to ‘University Of Regina Residence Services’.

Letter of Offer  

Once your application has been processed, you will be e-mailed a Letter of Offer. This will detail the room type that you are being offered, the rate and the term. On the Letter of Offer, there will be a specified deadline by which you will have to confirm your room. In order to confirm, you will need to submit a $200 Confirmation Fee and $200 Security Deposit. Payments are accepted in person, by mail, or by telephone (please refer to payment of application fee above for address/telephone information).
