Preparing for Fall 2022
Updated on Aug 31Tags: return to campus, all updates
Dear students,
I would like to provide a follow-up to an earlier campus message from President Keshen regarding plans for the Fall 2022 term which I hope can further assist you as you prepare for the coming term.
Masking
- Masks are not mandatory on our campuses but are welcomed in all indoor spaces, including classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and other areas where you may have face-to-face interactions -- which has been the policy since June 1.
Illness
- Please stay away from campus if testing positive or experiencing symptoms of illness. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, please use the COVID-19 Illness Flowchart as a guide to the appropriate University reporting procedures and public health resources.
- During the course of the term, you may need an accommodation if you are unable to attend class due to illness. You can find information on the approved student illness/exam deferral process in the Undergraduate Calendar (p. 58) or on the Registrar’s Office website under “Academic Regulations” and the Application for Deferral of Term Work and/or Final Exam and Self Declaration of Illness forms on the Registrar’s Office website.
- Please also be aware the University is monitoring the Monkeypox situation.
Thank you for helping to keep our campus community safe and for your understanding as the University works to ensure continued operations throughout COVID-19. I am wishing you all a safe and productive Fall 2022 term!
Sincerely,
david Gregory, PhD
Interim Provost and Vice-President (Academic)
