Temporary return to remote teaching delivery beginning Monday, March 29

In response to Regina’s heightened rates of Covid-19 infections, including cases involving variants of concern, and in alignment with the Government of Saskatchewan's latest public health orders for Regina and area, the University has made the decision to temporarily pause face-to-face delivery of classes beginning Monday, March 29th.

WHL Hub Centre - U of R accommodations planning

The Western Hockey League (WHL) recently announced that it is proceeding with an abbreviated hockey season, with the City of Regina serving as the Eastern Division hub.The University of Regina, in conjunction with Luther College, is working with the WHL to provide teams with accommodations during their hockey season.

Campus Store closed today

The Campus Store will be closed Wednesday, February 10.

Updated Guidelines for Mask Use on Campus

Effective November 6, the Province of Saskatchewan has introduced new mask usage guidelines for indoor, public spaces in Regina, Saskatoon, and Prince Albert.

Additional Flu Clinic Openings

We have added flu clinic appointments on Friday, October 30 and Thursday, November 5.

Free Flu Vaccination Clinic for Students

The University is holding a series of free flu vaccination clinics on campus. These clinics are for current University of Regina students only, and you must make an appointment in advance.

Mask Guidelines for Campus

If you are coming to campus this fall, make sure you are aware of all the guidelines around wearing masks in public and shared spaces.

Use and supply of medical and non-medical masks/face coverings

• Use of masks/face coverings in shared, public, indoor spaces on our campuses is strongly recommended, although not mandatory at this time.
• The University has standardized disposable, medical masks for our front-line, essential workers and researchers to use as required if their work or learning activity doesn't allow for two-metre distancing.
• The University is working towards sourcing a supply of branded, non-medical, reusable, cloth masks once our Health, Safety and Wellness team determines the standards that need to be met.

Aerosols and the need for masks

• University strongly recommends that all members of the University community wear a mask in public/shared spaces on our campuses (entrances, hallways, elevators, stairwells, etc.).

• Thomas Chase, Interim President and Vice-Chancellor, asks Dr Andrew Cameron, chair of the University Recovery Planning Group and COVID-19 researcher, to explain aerosols and the risks they pose in enclosed spaces such as classrooms, hallways, elevators, and washrooms.
