Free Flu Vaccination Clinic for Students

Updated on Oct 16
Tags: health and safety, all updates

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic continuing to pose a public health threat, and the traditional influenza season soon approaching, it is more important than ever to get vaccinated against the seasonal flu in order to keep yourself and those around you safe. The flu vaccine is a safe, effective way to help people stay healthy, prevent illness, and save lives.

This year, the University will hold a series of free flu vaccination clinics on campus. These clinics are for current University of Regina students only, and you must make an appointment in advance. We especially encourage those living in residence to take part in one of these clinics, as this will eliminate the need for you to go off campus to another location to get a flu shot.

The clinics will be located in the College West Building in CW 113. Please book an appointment online at https://www2.uregina.ca/health-services. The clinic dates and times are as follows:

  • Tuesday, October 20: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Wednesday, October 21: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
  • Thursday, October 22: 12:00 – 7:30 pm
  • Friday, October 23: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Tuesday, October 27: 12:00 – 7:30 pm
  • Wednesday, October 28: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Thursday, October 29: 12:00 – 7:30 pm
  • Friday, October 30: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Tuesday, November 3: 12:00 – 7:30 pm
  • Wednesday, November 4: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Thursday, November 5: 12:00 – 7:30 pm
  • Friday, November 6: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Please remember to enter via the Classroom Building or the Riddell Centre entrance (closest to the College West Building), maintain 2M physical distancing, wear a mask, obey all signs/instructions, and leave campus when you are done in order to ensure your safety and the safety of others when you come to campus for your flu shot. Please bring your Health Card with you. If you do not have a Saskatchewan Health Card or have a health card from another province, you can still receive your free flu vaccination.

If you have any questions related to the flu vaccination clinic please call 306-541-5559 or email student.wellness@uregina.ca.

If you are not in the Regina area, or unable to attend one of the on-campus flu clinics, vaccinations are available beginning on or around October 19 at multiple locations around the city and across the province:

Saskatchewan Health Authority flu clinics in Regina will be held at the International Trade Centre - Evraz Place (1700 Elphinstone Street) beginning Monday, October 19. You must call 306-766-4000 for an appointment. A full list of flu clinic dates and locations in the province can be found on the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s website.

The vaccine will also be offered through public health clinics, most physician and nurse practitioner offices, and in many local pharmacies.

Thank you for your ongoing efforts to help keep our campus and campus community healthy and safe.
