Financial Hold Threshold on Registration Increased

Updated on Nov 5
Tags: students, all updates

In an effort to help ease some of the financial pressures faced by students, the University of Regina is increasing the Financial Hold threshold allowed on the outstanding balance on student accounts in order to allow them to register for their next semester.

Students will now be allowed to register for the next semester as long as their outstanding UR Self-Service account balance is no higher than $2,000. Previously, the threshold for Financial Holds on registration was set at $500.

This change is scheduled to take effect today. Beginning Monday (Nov. 9), if students encounter any difficulties registering in relation to their student account balance, they are asked to contact Financial Services by email at financial.services@uregina.ca or by phone at 306-585-4123.

For more information on Financial Holds, please see the Tuition and Fees Calendar.

The University of Regina looks forward to continuing to serve your academic needs in the Winter 2021 semester. Good luck in your ongoing studies and please stay health and safe.
