UR Days for Regina High Schools

Join us on Thursday, May 19, 2022 as we visit Campbell Collegiate in the morning and Miller High School after lunch.   Watch for information in your school about some of the great activities we are offering:*

  • We’re bringing student athletes and coaches to showcase our dynamic varsity sports teams. Learn what being a student athlete is like at the U of R; (Registration required for after-school soccer camps)
  • The Educating Youth in Engineering and Science (EYES) team will offer workshops in industrial, electronic and environmental engineering;
  • Our English Department is offering fun creative writing exercises, and will provide survival tips for first year university-level English courses;
  • The U of R’s Music department will give students a chance to interact with the University’s concert choir and band programs;
  • In-school information expo to learn more about U of R programs and campus life.

We invite students from all Regina and surrounding area high schools to come out to our after-school camps or our evening event. Meet President Keshen and learn about all things U of R.

As an added bonus to attending UR Days, if you submit a paper application form and your transcripts to the admissions booth at either the day or evening expos, you will not be required to pay the $100 application fee! Not sure which program to apply to? A University of Regina representative will be on hand to answer your questions and to help you fill out your application.

Dr. Erica Carleton

Dr. Erica Carleton is an Assistant Professor of Leadership at the Hill Levene Schools Business, University of Regina. She primarily researches the areas of leadership, well-being, and gender. She has received federal, provincial and university funding to conduct her research. She is currently the RBC Women in Leadership Research Scholar at the Hill-Levene Schools Business School. She is a co‐editor of the book Sleep and Work: Research Insights for the Workplace (Oxford University Press, 2016). She has taught courses in organizational behaviour and leadership at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Dr. Jeff Keshen

Dr. Jeff Keshen is President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Regina. He holds a doctoral degree from York University with a research concentration in the history of war and conflict. He is the author of five books, more than 25 scholarly articles, and has edited 11 books. His book Propaganda and Censorship in Canada's Great War was awarded the best non-fiction book by the Writers Guild of Alberta. His book Saints, Sinners and Soldiers: Canada's Second World War was shortlisted for the Raymond Klibansky Prize for the best book in the Humanities, a prize awarded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Federation of Canada. The book was also recognized with the C.P. Stacey Prize for the best book in the military history category. Dr. Keshen lives in Regina with his wife and his two children.
