UR Guarantee Advantage Program

If you currently have completed more than 30 credit hours, you can still participate in the UR Guarantee program.

  • Help you become self-aware and develop decision making skills that will empower you to make the most of your University of Regina experience.
  • Connect you with support services and resources (as required).
  • Provide guidance and support as you plan for the next phase of your life, whatever that may be, including applying for jobs.
  • Give you access to professional development opportunities and social events.
  • Connect you with volunteer opportunities on campus and in the community.

Next Steps:

  • Contact our office to book an appointment with a UR Guarantee Advisor.

"Since I didn't sign up for the URG waiver program, I thought it would be a good idea to utilize the supports that URG has to offer through the Advantage program. With help from my advisor, I was able to get a sense of where I should start looking for a job. My advisor was able to guide me in how to show my personality and experience through a resume review, and I was able to have a mock interview to get a sense of what employers would be asking me and how to respond to a variety of questions."

Angela, Graduate of the Faculty of Business Administration (currently working in the Human Resources sector)

"I spent five years in the military before I arrived at U of R, and I didn't really think I would need any help in achieving my goals. I couldn't have been more incorrect.

These advising sessions sharpened my time management skills by showing me how to strategically make time for work, and play. The meetings actually fired up my motivation for school and not just to hurry up and graduate, but to enjoy the process of being a student. I also am now aware of programs, and functions (through URG) where I can generate  great ideas for resume building, networking within my department, and how to focus for each job application and interview, because every application and interview will be individual in itself."

Andrew, 3rd year, Geology

Note: UR Guarantee Advantage students are not eligible for the free tuition waiver; however, we are confident that you will receive valuable support through your participation.
