Aboriginal Storytelling Session

February 2021 is Saskatchewan Aboriginal Storytelling Month and it is being coordinated by the Library Services for Saskatchewan Aboriginal Peoples Committee (LSSAP). The winter timing for Aboriginal Storytelling observes First Nations traditional time for storytelling. The purpose of LSSAP's program is to increase province-wide cultural activity levels of Indigenous Peoples; have Elders and Aboriginal storytellers demonstrate the cultural and historical value of storytelling; and foster storytelling partnerships through joint planning with outside agencies and resources. Join Kim Soo Goodtrack, a retired school teacher, artist, children’s television series creator, and award-winning author from the Wood Mountain Reserve in Southern Saskatchewan for a live streaming session that will be hosted by the Dr. John Archer Library.
