Contact-Free Library Materials Pickup

The Dr. John Archer Library and Archives is pleased to announce that effective today, students, faculty and staff will be able to pick up their requested physical items through our contact-free book pickup lockers. Located in the hall outside of Archer Library, the book pickup lockers will enable students, faculty and staff to access their requested items from the Archer Library, the Teaching Development Centre, Campion College, Luther College, and the Regina campus of First Nations University, during University hours.

The book pickup lockers have an interactive touchless screen which allows you to charge out your items without staff assistance. To access your requested items, you will need your University of Regina PhotoID card. Follow these three simple steps to retrieve your items:

  1. Scan your barcode from your University of Regina PhotoID card using the barcode scanner at the locker kiosk (tip: hold your card at a slight angle about one inch from the scanner until your barcode is recognized, or manually enter your barcode numbers on the touchscreen).

  2. Your hold items will be displayed on the screen (highlighted in green) along with a note about which locker number to collect your items from.

  3. The items will then be loaned out to you and the locker door containing them will open. Retrieve your items from the locker and close the door.

You will automatically receive an email with the due date of the item(s). You can also print out a due date receipt for your items by pressing the Print button on the kiosk screen.

* Please note that hold items expire after 7 days if they are not picked up and items will be removed from the lockers.
