The Library's Beyond the Book series, which helps promote University of Regina faculty research, and in conjunction with the Library's Archives and Special Collections Department will host a public lecture by Jim Pitsula, professor of History. Reception to follow.

Also following the lecture, Archives and Special Collections will launch web sites for two recently completed digitization projects. These highlight the history of Regina College (a precursor to the University of Regina) and Florence Kirk, a Regina College alumnus whose letters home tell the fascinating story of her life in China from 1932 to 1950.

Materials highlighting both Regina College and Florence Kirk will be on display throughout the week. This event coincides with Saskatchewan's Archives Week which runs from February 6-12, 2011.

An mp3 of the lecture is now available.
