Library Catalogue - New Look and Features

A new redesigned version of the Library Catalogue interface is now available for users to try out.

Some of the new features this version of the catalogue will present are:

• More modern, cleaner layout and presentation
• Improved navigation options and functionality
• Google like quick search box and more search tabs
• More user friendly ability to send records to email and social networking sites
• Search filters to narrow search results
• Many of the search features from the current interface along with links into Google Books to obtain further information about each item or related titles and book covers
• A link back to the current interface which will now be called the Voyager Classic Catalogue
• Enhanced single record display combining the old Brief and Full record displays
• All data and features including record information and your library account are up to date and fully functional

The new catalogue is the result of many usability studies done by several research libraries who tested the interface extensively before our vendor released it. It is designed to comply with leading international accessibility and industry standards. If you have comments about the new look please contact your liaison librarian or email Library Systems staff.
