The Education of Augie Merasty (University Public Reading in celebration of One Book, One Province)

One Book One Province Saskatchewan is an initiative of the Saskatchewan Library Association that invites Saskatchewan residents to read, discuss, and engage in a single selected book. The program aims to support literacy, to create a reading culture, and to raise the profile of libraries and literacy organizations in the province.

The title of this year's selected book is The Education of Augie Merasty: A Residential School Memoir, by Joseph Auguste Merasty with David Carpenter, published by the University of Regina Press. This book was chosen for its potential to promote tolerance and understanding, while appealing to a broad, diverse, and contemporary audience.

Join us for a public reading of The Education of Augie Merasty: A Residential School Memoir. Readers will include students, faculty, and staff from various units on campus.
