Online Access to Print Resources

To better serve your research and learning needs during COVID-19, Archer Library has signed a Hathi Trust Emergency Temporary Access Service agreement (ETAS) to expand temporary online access to Archer and the Federated College Libraries' (Campion College, Luther College, and First Nations University of Canada) physical collections and to also provide faculty and staff access to the HathiTrust digital repository that includes millions of items from research libraries around the world.

This means that University of Regina Faculty, staff, and students now have online reading access to over 56,000 items from Archer Library’s print collection, in addition to the almost 2 million full-view worldwide titles both in copyright and public domain materials, contained within HaitiTrust’s Collection. Full-text material primarily consists of books and other items published before 1923. This includes a large collection of U.S. government documents and a growing collection of Canadian government publications.

Hathi Trust titles are available through QuickFind and directly through the HathiTrust website (login with your uregina.ca username and password). For more information on the online resources available through Hathi Trust and how to access them, check out the following libguide: https://uregina.libguides.com/HathiTrust

Please note that as per the terms of agreement with HathiTrust, Archer Library items available online in the HathiTrust Collection through ETAS cannot be available for loan and borrowed in their physical format. This controlled digital lending service will be available for as long as the Archer Library collection floors are physically closed to users. Once the Archer Library building fully re-opens, ETAS will be discontinued.
