The Search Advisory Committee is pleased to announce the names of the four candidates shortlisted for the position of Dean, Faculty of Business Administration.
 
Arrangements are now being made to bring these candidates to campus and participate in a formal interview, public presentation, stakeholder meetings, and social gatherings with faculty, staff and students. Following these visits, the Search Advisory Committee will seek input on these candidates from our internal and external community members and stakeholders.

Please be advised that the membership of the Dean of Business Administration Search Advisory Committee has changed in response to the disclosure of new information.

Through a collegial and consultative process with the Faculty of Business Administration, Dr. Tatiana Levit and Dr. Youngsoo Kim have replaced Dr. Jacqui Gagnon and Dr. Grant Wilson as faculty member representatives on the Committee.

The Dean, Faculty of Business Administration Search Advisory Committee (SAC) has completed their work on the position description/appointment details, and the advertisement is being posted and circulated nationally and internationally through various recruitment venues.

To the University of Regina Campus Community:

Just prior to summer, the Provost's Office commenced the search for a new Dean of Business Administration. On May 12, 2023 the Interim Provost Dr. david Gregory met with the Faculty of Business Administration to discuss the search process and composition of a Search Advisory Committee (SAC). As discussed at this meeting, the search will be conducted according to the University policy on out-of-scope administrative appointments, available for review at https://www.uregina.ca/policy/browse-policy/policy-EMP-010-030.html

In consultation with your Faculty and community partners, the composition of the Search Advisory Committee will be as follows:
  • Academic staff members: Dr. Grant Wilson, Dr. Eman Almehdawe, Dr. Jacqui Gagnon, Dwight Heinrichs, Dr. Adrian Pitariu
  • Undergraduate student: Noah Rainbow
  • Graduate student: Sean Harms
  • APT member: Anne Lauf
  • CUPE member: Stephanie Swayn
  • Paul J. Hill School of Business Advisory Board member:Doug McNair
  • Kenneth Levene Graduate School of Business Advisory Board member: Pamela Wallin
  • Leaders Council member: Mark Borgares
  • Deans' Council member: Dr. Christie Schultz
I will serve in the role of Chair, and the Committee will also be supported in its work by Angela Leader in the Provost's office, Nancy Kazeil of Human Resources, and an executive search firm.

Tentative search timeline (dates subject to change):
  • By June 16: SAC in place
  • September 11: First meeting of the SAC
  • By October 2: Advertising underway (provincial, national and international)
  • By January 31: SAC establishes a short-list of candidates
  • Weeks of February 26 and March 4: Interviews and candidate on-campus visits
  • By March 29: SAC makes a recommendation regarding preferred candidate to the Provost; Provost makes recommendation to the President; negotiations with the preferred candidate commence
  • By April 15: Announcement of the new Dean.
