Undergraduate Programs
The Women's and Gender Studies Program offers a central core of courses with three thematic streams; "Knowledge, Theory and Method", "Society and Culture", and "Environment and Health" in order that students are able, if desired, to focus their studies (see below). The thematic streams allow students to develop a specialization, in for example, feminist epistemology and theory, gender/sex and sexuality based analyses, community-orientated analyses, and environmental, health policy assessments among others.

The Women's and Gender Studies undergraduate program is structured similarly to other departments in the Faculty of Arts. Available to students is the BA with a minor, a major and honours in Women's and Gender Studies. The requirements for a WGST major are six WGST courses and six WGST or approved elective courses listed in the WGST brochure. A minor in Women's and Gender Studies requires four WGST courses and two WGST or approved elective courses listed in the WGST brochure. The Women's and Gender Studies honours major requires eight WGST courses, nine WGST or approved elective courses listed in the WGST brochure, and the writing of a honours paper.
