Dear Parents/Guardians:
My name is Mat Ring and I am a Senior Instructor for the Summer Sports School. I would like to personally welcome you and your child to our program and are looking forward to a safe and enjoyable summer.
I have currently finished my fourth year through my Sport and Recreation Degree at the University of Regina. With a sport oriented family, I have been involved in numerous types of sports throughout my life, as well as experience at the provincial and national levels. I hope to bring my knowledge and skills to the program and incorporate them in a fun environment. I have taken time to plan activities and have them available to you if there are any questions or concerns. Please take a look at the lesson plans for your child and to be aware that activities are subject to change due to weather and the facilities available.
My goal for all the children this summer is to teach new skills, new activities, and sportsmanship qualities that will help them be introduced to sports that can hopefully be developed in the years to come. And the most important thing is to HAVE FUN!!
Please provide your children with mosquito spray, sunscreen, water, and a hat for added protection while outside. Please remember that only NUT FREE snacks and meals are to be made as there are few children with severe nut allergies.
