Noha Razek

Energy Economics, International Economics, Macroeconomics, Canadian Economy, Oil-dependent economies.

Noha has more than 10 years of research experience specializing in energy economics and international economics. Before joining the University of Regina, Noha was a senior research associate at King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC). Previously, she was a post-doctoral fellow at the China Institute and a researcher at the School of Business at the University of Alberta, and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the American University in Cairo. Her recent research examines the role of OPEC and non-OPEC production, global demand and the financialization of oil in influencing oil prices; China’s demand for natural gas; the macroeconomic impact of oil-price shocks on Alberta’s economy; and the relationship between the U.S dollar and oil prices.
