Dr. Noha Razek received her PhD in Economics in 2012 from the University of Alberta. She has more than 15 years of research experience. Her research interests include International Finance, Energy Economics, International Energy Policy, and Energy and the Economy. She held various positions in the government, academia, and international research institutes in Canada and overseas. Before joining the University of Regina, Dr. Noha Razek was a senior research associate at King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC). Previously, she was a post-doctoral fellow at the China Institute and a researcher at the School of Business at the University of Alberta, and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the American University in Cairo. Her research has been published in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and non-refereed journals. She has published white and policy papers and has presented at national and international conferences. She is a liaison for the American Economic Association's (AEA) Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics Profession (CSWEP).
