The Indigenous Research Showcase invites to join the upcoming panel “Community Perspectives in Indigenous-centred Research.”

Panelists and topics include:

· Margaret King: “Creating Resilience in Communities: Bringing the Voice of the Community to the Forefront in Research.” Margaret is from the Mohawk Nation and a member of the Thunderchild First Nation. She works as the Health Promotion Worker for the Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services.

· Kim McKay-McNabb: “Mental Wellness during the Pandemic.” Kim is from the Saulteaux and Cree Nations. She is the Executive Director, White Raven Healing Centre.

· Margaret Kisikaw Piyesis: “Indigenous Research: community-based and driven, bringing life to the people of the land.” Margaret is Cree from George Gordon First Nation and is the Finance and Research Director at All Nations Hope Network.

· Moses Gordon: “Developing Institutional Capacity for Implementing CBR (Community-based Research).” Moses is from George Gordon First Nation and is the Acting Director at Indigenous Peoples’ Health Research Centre (IPHRC).
