Fedoruk Centre funds nuclear medicine research leaders at Saskatchewan universities

SASKATOON – The Sylvia Fedoruk Canadian Centre for Nuclear Innovation at the University of Saskatchewan (U of S) today announced over $5 million to build the capacity for nuclear medicine and imaging research in Saskatchewan.

The grant, the largest awarded by the Fedoruk Centre to date, includes $3.5 million to recruit leading researchers to the province and establish academic resarch programs, as well as up to $1.7 million for research equipment and infrastructure.

One of those bridge-funded positions will be a nuclear physicist at the Department of Physics, University of Regina.
