Bev Montague grew up in the Friendly City (now the Spa City) of Moose Jaw. She received a BEd (secondary English) from the University of Saskatchewan Regina Campus and a BA (Mention bilingue) and MA in French literature from the University of Regina. After teaching a number of classes for the French Department she returned to her first love, English. She now teaches English 100 and English 110 (Contemporary Irish Fiction) courses. Her love of Irish literature led her to specialize in this rich area. She is a member of an Irish reading group and has given talks on Irish literature and written film and book reviews for local publications. She likes to travel, cook, garden, walk, and birdwatch. She also indulges in the guilty pleasure of watching British soaps. She has a husband, two sons now attending the U of R, and the inevitable two cats.
