TESOL Training Program

In the summer of 2012, UR International and Centre for International Education and Training (CIET) hosted the second annual Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Training Program at the University of Regina. This three-week program focuses on TESOL training, provides opportunities for scholastic exchange, and enhances international cooperation. Participants receive language training and takes part in academic seminars, professional observations, and cultural activities.

Program curricula include theories and research in second language acquisition, understanding teacher-student interaction in classroom settings, and using instructional methodologies in second language learning.

2012 participants came from Anhui University and Southwest Petroleum University in China, and Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico.
