Ethics, Animal Care, and Hazardous Materials Compliance

The University of Regina Research Ethics Board (REB) is responsible for reviewing and approving all research that involves living human subjects or human biological materials and ensuring compliance with institutional standards and the standards defined by the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS 2).

The President's Committee on Animal Care (PCAC) is responsible for overseeing all animal care and use undertaken by members of the University of Regina and ensuring compliance with institutional and Canadian Council on Animal Care (CCAC) standards.

Health, Safety, and Wellness, a department of Human Resources, oversees all research involving hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with institutional standards and regulatory laws.
