Benefits to Faculties/Departments
- Flexible delivery can expand your faculty's reach beyond the campus to provincial, national and international students.
- Students have indicated they like the flexibility that online and blended courses give them.
- When a flexible course is developed and delivered, your faculty may receive a portion of the tuition revenues collected, above a minimum holdback.*
*Some exemptions may apply.
Benefits to Course Developers/Subject Matter Experts (SME)
- SMEs (course developers) are encouraged to work with the FL Instructional Design (ID) Team to develop a new online course and/or to enhance a previously developed and delivered course (remote, f2f) for online delivery with such things as content delivery strategies, student engagement, assessment strategies and effective uses of technology.
- SMEs can get paid**, get a course release or hire a student when developing a course
Benefits to Students

- Students can study at Saskatchewan Colleges in their communities and then come to the U of R to finish their degrees or potentially take an entire program at a distance.
- Students can vary their study load to suit their schedule.
- Students can learn better time management skills and gain more confidence.
Benefits to the University
