Step 3: Course Delivery

By applying for DDLC funding, the Department, Faculty, or College agrees that the course developed through DDLC funding will 1) involve the FL ID Team throughout the development process; 2) will be scheduled through CCE at least once every academic year in the same format as developed for a period of five years from the date of first course delivery.

Substantial ID Team support will be available for the first two deliveries of a DDLC funded course in order to make substantial changes and/or enhancements to the course such as changes to assessment, organization of a course, or to have more multimedia elements created/added. After the second delivery, a FL Assistant Instructional Designer will be available to assist the instructor to make minor revisions to the course.

Courses that are 5+ years old from the first delivery may be outdated and in need of major updates due to changes to content because of a rapdily changing field of study, assessments, teaching and learning best practices and advances in technology. These courses can apply for DDLC funds after 4 years to start the development process over again with the same original developer or with a new developer.

Note: For information related to teaching priority and ownership of a course, please see Article 30 (academic staff members other than sessional course developers) and Appendix J (sessional course developers) of the URFA Academic Staff Collective Agreement 2017-2021 (https://ursource.uregina.ca/hr/assets/pdfs/collective-agreements/Academic/2017-2021- Academic-CBA-Final.pdf).
