A lifetime of music and learning starts at the Conservatory.
Founded in 1912, the Conservatory has an established history of providing quality musical education to both prepare students for students seeking careers in music, as well as those interested in simply discovering the joy of music. Music at the Conservatory is for all ages and abilities, so whether you are looking to begin your child's musical journey with Kindermusik or Mini Mozart keyboarding classes, enroll your child in cello lessons and the Conservatory Theory Program or debut your singing voice in "I've Always Wanted to Sing" there is something for you and your family!
The University is also home to the famous Darke Hall, the first performing arts venue in Regina. Now home to the Conservatory, Darke Hall proudly hosts the award-winning Conservatory Pipe Band, the Conservatory Theatre for Young People and the Silver Medal Awards to name a few.
The Conservatory also enjoys a close working relationship with the Faculty of Fine Arts. Many of the Conservatory's students go on to study at the U of R and many of the Conservatory's instructors are Fine Arts students or alumni. Innovative programs such as Enabling Performers are a result of this partnership.
