Ad-Hum Pit Renovation Through Summer 2025
The Administration Humanities (AdHum) Pit is getting a fresh new look!
Construction kicked off in August, and while we’re trying to keep the noisiest work to evenings and weekends, there will be some disruptions and detours. Here’s what you need to know:
- AdHum Pit Area Closed: For your safety, the entire AdHum Pit area will be closed off during the renovation.
- Safety Compliance: All construction activities will follow strict safety policies, procedures, and codes.
- Access to Key Areas: The School of Journalism, hallway to La Cité, and elevators to AdHum floors 2-5 will remain open. All University offices in the AdHum building remain fully operational during the renovation. Students needing services like photo IDs, student award applications, or financial aid can visit the Registrar’s Office, Enrolment Services, and Financial Services on the second floor. Directional signage is in place.
- Washroom Availability: Main floor washrooms in the AdHum building are closed; alternative washrooms are available nearby.
- Emergency Exits and Stairwells: Fire exits and stairwells in the building will stay accessible throughout the renovation.
- Entrances and Exits: The University Drive cul-de-sac entrance and exit to the AdHum building are closed during construction.
- Parking Update: The University Drive cul-de-sac is closed to parking.
