In Her Studio:

Lori Potter teaches piano, theory, history, harmony, and accompaniment with the Conservatory. Lessons with Lori cost $60 per hour of instruction. She is accepting students at this time. Lori teaches all ages from 5 year olds to adults, and from beginner level to RCM Grade 10. In Lori’s studio, students are welcome to work towards exams, participate in recitals, or participate in Music Festival for personal growth and musical achievement if they wish, but it is not mandatory. She teaches RCM classical, jazz, sacred/worship, pop, and contemporary genres. Lori requires students to supply their own books, with Lori’s guidance on what to purchase, and she encourages students to practice each day for 30 minutes, to get most value for money. Lori’s teaching style is positive and encouraging, inspiring her students to strive for excellence in their musical pursuits.

Biography:

Lori Potter earned her Bachelor of Education in Music and French from the University of Regina, and RCM Grade 10 Piano from the Conservatory of Performing Arts under the guidance of Frances England. In 2018 Lori earned her Associateship in Piano Performance with Distinction from Trinity College of London, England under the guidance of Janice Elliott-Denike and Sarah Konecsni.

Lori has taught Royal Conservatory of Music Piano, Theory, Harmony, History and Contemporary Voice classes for over 35 years. She is a Saskatchewan Music Festival Adjudicator with SMFA and Director of the Conservatory Adult Choir as well as an instructor of Summer Conservatory Choral, Piano, Songwriting, and Junior Glee Camps. Lori also teaches Arts Ed with Regina Public Schools. As a professional pianist, singer and songwriter, Lori has recorded two CD’s with her church and performs around Regina.

Mrs. Potter loves teaching music to all ages and enjoys performing, sharing the gift of music!
