New Student Orientation (Regina campus)

Join us for a full-day orientation event for new students on Tuesday, September 3.

Saskatoon Campus Orientation (pre-social work and nursing)

Attending the Saskatoon campus for your nursing or pre-social work program? We have an orientation event for you!

Adult Learner Orientation

This orientation is for students who are new to the University of Regina but are not recent high school graduates. Registration coming soon!

Family and Supporter Orientation

Want to support your student as they begin their university experience? This virtual orientation will introduce you to supports and campus services, and tips for assisting your student on their university journey.

Virtual Orientation

As you prepare for your journey in higher education, we want to ensure you have a smooth transition and make the most out of your university experience. In addition to our in-person orientation opportunities, you have access to our Virtual Orientation. In the Virtual Orientation, you'll have a wealth of valuable information at your finger tips, including:

Why should I come to orientation?

This event is designed to kickstart your U of R journey and provide you with essential tools for success. Here are some of the benefits of attending:

Can I bring a family member or friend with me to orientation?
Orientation is designed for new U of R students only, however we do have an orientation specifically for family members and supporters!
What should I bring with me to orientation?
You should bring a notepad, pen, and waterbottle.
Do I need to register for orientation?
Yes, you must register for orientation.

Mission Statement and Learning Outcomes

Our mission is to facilitate the successful transition of first year and transfer students to the University of Regina through an integrated and comprehensive orientation program that recognizes the diversity of our student body. We also support the families of new students as part of the transition process.

As a result of Orientation, first-year and transfer students will:
  • Experience a sense of belonging and connection to the University of Regina.
  • Have fun and be excited.
  • Recognize the diversity of students, programs and services.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with other students, faculty and staff.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of campus services and resources.
  • Gain insight into student life opportunities and how to become involved.
  • Experience campus traditions and history.
  • Feel a sense of school spirit.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the expectations placed on them by professors and University policies and procedures.
