Admission and Registration

Admission

You need to be admitted before taking any University of Regina course.

Advising

Academic advising is mandatory for all new students, except Nursing students. Contact your faculty for academic advising prior to registration. Faculties offer telephone advising by appointment for off-campus students. Find out more about academic advising.

Registration

All Students

Once admitted, you may register for a course through your faculty, federated college or on UR Self-Service.

Transfer Credit

If you have completed studies at another accredited post-secondary institution, you may be considered for transfer credit. Allowances differ by Faculty.

Once you have been admitted to the University, the Admissions office will forward your transcripts to the Faculty to be considered for transfer credit. The Faculty will determine which courses can be considered for your University of Regina degree program.
