WGST 880AA Mapping Sexualities: From Sappho to Madonna - Advanced Study (3)
This course examines sexualities across the globe in both ancient and modern contexts. Subjects such as heterosexuality, homosexuality, heterosexism, transsexuality, sexual "deviancy" pornography, gay culture and so forth will be investigated through text, film and novel. Included will be an elucidation of sexualities via recourse to religious and ritual practices.
