CIA University Accreditation Program

Under the Canadian Institute of Actuaries’ University Accreditation Program, University of Regina Courses can be used towards professional actuarial designations.  Full details can be found at the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA) website.

For the 2018-9 Academic Year, exam exemptions can be granted for students who achieve the minimum grades in U of R classes described in the table below.  Note that the requirements are similar for other academic years, but the exact mappings may change based on changes to the SOA/CAS exam syllabi and the U of R course catalogue (full listings can be found here).

In order to be eligible for the exam exemption, a student must meet the minimum standard for each course.  For example, the exemption for Exam FM requires marks of at least 80% in both ACSC116 AND ACSC216.
