Launch Site

Once you have entered your content into your website on the staging server, Integrated Web Services will review your site one last time to ensure all navigation, links, banner images and content follow the recommendations outlined in the online style guide and website templates.  Usually others can easily see spelling or formatting errors that might have been missed when initially proofing your site.

Once reviewed, IWS will work with you to determine a "go-live" date for your site.

Once a date has been confirmed, plan to send out an e-mail to students, faculty and staff using the University's E-mail List Serve. The e-mail will announce the date of your site going live and encourage visitors to update their bookmarks or links to your site from their site, as shown in the example below:

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new website on Month Day, Year.  The new URL for our department's website is http://www.uregina.ca/XXXXXXX/index.html .
 
With this change, any links to content on our old website will no longer be available. Please update your web pages or contact our website administrator if you have any questions as to the location of the content within our new website.
