
Undergraduate Research Day

The Undergraduate Research Day highlights the research being done by undergraduate students at the University of Regina. Students will have a chance to design a poster or develop a presentation about their work. There will be awards and all students will receive feedback. The event is open to the public so everyone is welcome to attend.
Schedule:
Noon - 1:00 PM - Poster Set Up
1:00 - 2:30 PM - Student Presentations (RIC 119)
2:30 - 3:30 PM - Poster Session (RIC Atrium)
3:30 - 4:00 PM - Awards & Reception (RIC 119)
Register to present:
The deadline to register is August 15
Presentation Details:
- The presentations are to be three minutes long
- There will be a few minutes for questions afterwards
- There is a lapel microphone to use which works best when placed near your collarbone
- Your Powerpoint slide deck is to be submitted to grad.engagement@uregina.ca by 8:00 AM August 17
- You are able to use other presentation software but are responsible for loading it yourself
- You will receive written feedback from different judges the following week
Poster Details:
- The poster is to be 3 ft by 4ft
- We will cover the cost of printing but it must be submitted to Printing Services before noon on August 15
- You need to submit a pdf to Printing Services. Many people use PowerPoint to design their posters. Make sure to adjust the settings to be 3ft by 4 ft before designing.
- You are responsible for picking up your poster from Printing Services
- We will provide a poster stand, frame and hardware. You just need the poster.
- It is recommended that you prepare a one minute presentation to give an overview of your work.
- Judges will come to evaluate your work. Some are for the award and some are there just to provide feedback which you will receive the following week.
