Prospective students
should review the minimum standards of admission to the Faculty
of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR) before applying to ensure
that they possess the qualifications necessary to be considered
for admission.

Application Procedures for a Special Case Ph.D. Graduate Program
All prospective graduate students who are non-Canadian should
review the regulations that apply to International Students.
In order to be complete, applications must include the following
documents:
- an FGSR application form (print and fill out) or apply on-line
- official transcripts from all post-secondary institution attended
- two confidential letters of recommendation (print and fill
out)
- resumé
- personal statement of interest
- all international applicants must submit proof of English proficiency
in the form of an approved test score (ie TOEFL)
sent directly from the testing service to the FGSR office* (minimum score requirements)
- other test scores as requested (GMAT or
GRE) (must be sent
directly from the testing service to the FGSR office)**
- any additional materials that may be required by a particular
academic unit
- a non-refundable application fee of $90.00 for domestic students
or $100.00 for international students

Specific information regarding the application materials is also
given in the Graduate Calendar. It is recommended that all students
include a letter of intent expressing motivation for application
and areas of research interest.
Applicants to Social Work must complete a supplementary admissions information form (MSW or
MASW).
The application deadline to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and
Research may vary from academic unit to academic unit. You will
want to submit your application as early as possible. Final offers
of admission are made after your final documents, including official
transcripts, arrive. If you are applying from a distance or must
make visa arrangements, you should submit your application
and documents well before the deadline dates. Students
may not register in the semester in which they are formally
admitted.
