CREATE Program

The NSERC Collaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE) Program supports the training of teams of highly qualified students and postdoctoral fellows from Canada and abroad through the development of innovative training programs that:

  • encourage collaboration and integrative approaches and address significant scientific challenges associated with Canada's research priorities; and

  • facilitate the transition of new researchers from trainees to productive employees in the Canadian workforce.

There is a quota of four Letters of Intent (LOI) that the University of Regina can submit to NSERC.

April 1:

  • Potential applicants must notify the Research Office if they plan to submit an LOI. If there are more than four proposals, a selection committee will be struck at this time.

April 15:

  • Deadline to submit LOI to the Research Office. If there are four or fewer applicants, institutional letters of support will be written at this time. If there are more than four, the selection committee will determine which four proposals will be included within our quota.

May 1:

  • Letter of Intent Deadline (NSERC)

June 30:

  • Invitations to submit application

September 22:

  • Application Deadline (NSERC)
