The Bachelor of Business Administration
program is designed to prepare students for effective
careers in the management of private and non-profit
organizations in Canada and around the world. The
curriculum helps students develop the conceptual, human,
technical and operational knowledge and skills that are
critical for success.
A Bachelor of Business Administration degree (B.B.A.)
can lead to careers in accounting, finance, human
resource management, marketing, and operations
management. Armed with a thorough knowledge of business
principles and practice, graduates have gone on to
pursue careers as accountants, financial analysts,
policy analysts, corporate executives, civil servants,
independent entrepreneurs, marketing managers, human
resource managers and much much more.
The B.B.A. program begins with one year of qualifying
courses. Students enter through admission in the
Excellence Program and become Year One B.B.A students or
complete a qualifying year in the Faculty of Business
Administration before applying into the BBA program.
When students have completed, or are near completion of
their qualifying courses, they can apply for entrance
into the Bachelor of Business Administration program.
Once admitted to the B.B.A. program, students will
complete the remaining requirements of the B.B.A.
The Faculty of Business Administration has majors in
Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management,
Marketing and Management. Students must complete certain
courses in order to graduate with a major but they may
also choose to graduate with no major at all – the
choice is up to them.
