BACHELOR OF ARTS - Studio Art
The four-year BA provides an overview of studio art, including a specialization and art history, complemented by fine arts and liberal arts requirements. Specialization can be in ceramics, drawing, intermedia, painting, printmaking, or sculpture. This program can prepare students for further studies in architecture, arts education, gallery education, pre-design, and other related design programs.

BACHELOR OF ARTS - Art History
The four-year BA program in art history covers a range of western and non-western historical periods with emphasis on the contextual and critical aspects of the study of art history, complemented with fine arts and liberal arts requirements. The program, through various approaches to art history and theory prepares students for entry level work in galleries, museums or arts administration.

BACHELOR OF ARTS - Arts Education
Visual Arts in conjunction with the Faculty of Education offers a combined Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts and a Bachelor of Education in Arts Education. Graduates are qualified to teach in the Saskatchewan school system and related cultural institutions.

BACHELOR OF ARTS HONOURS - Art History
The BA Honours is an intensive four-year program for those students who meet the higher academic requirements and wish to specialize in a specific are of study. This program allows greater concentration in a specific area, independent study, and close one-on-one supervision by faculty. It is designed for students wishing to pursue graduate studies or advanced entry into areas such as museum studies, curatorial work or arts administration.

BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS
The four-year studio art program allows individual development by focusing on intensive studio practice in ceramics, drawing, intermedia, painting, printmaking, or sculpture. Art history courses, which place the studio practice in a historical and critical context, are combined with fine arts and liberal arts requirements, providing the necessary skills for graduates to pursue careers as artists, craftspeople, art dealers, gallery manager, museum/gallery educators, registrars or technicians.

CERTIFICATE IN VISUAL ARTS
This 60-credit hour program is designed for mature students already working in a specific area of art who wish to broaden, strengthen, and concentrate their understanding of their art practice. It is primarily a studio program with a limited number of art history courses. Graduates of the Certificate program often continue on into Bachelor's program to work in other art-related careers.

MASTER OF FINE ARTS
The MFA is a two-year and 4 months residency program in studio practice with a major in a specific area of art: ceramics, drawing, intermedia, painting, printmaking or sculpture. Candidates have individual studios with access to all the Department's facilities. Graduate funding, including teaching assistantships and fellowships, is available. The program is completed with an oral examination, submission of a support paper and a one-person exhibition at the MacKenzie Art Gallery. Graduates go on to become artists, university educators, critics, gallery/museum personnel, work in advertising, or pursue other art-related careers.
