Department Overview
The Department of Theatre launched two new programs in the fall of 2022; the new BFA in Devised Performance and Theatre Creation, and the new BA in Drama and Theatre studies. We offer a common first year for both programs, so students develop a strong understanding of the practical and pedagogical foundations of devised performance and theatre creation no matter which degree they pursue. The Theatre Department is committed to the pursuit of excellence and rigour in our training, and we have some of the best artist-scholars in their field teaching in our world-class facilities. Students enjoy small classes, high student-teacher contact time, and leave our programs as holistic theatre artists with an impressive array of skills in performance, technical theatre, theatre creation, production, and design.
Theatre Programs
Experience practical training in acting or theatre design/stage management, delivered in modern facilities with small student/professor ratios. Our faculty and staff are professionals in their respective fields, dedicated to the success of our Theatre students.
