The Award for Excellence in Research was presented to Dr. Robert Anderson of the Faculty of Business Administration at Convocation on June 6, 2007.
Anderson is one of the world’s leading scholars in indigenous entrepreneurship research and has shaped the direction of international research in this field. He has an enviable record of publications, conference presentations, and research grants. His publications include four books, several book chapters, and numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Anderson is known as a superb mentor, and his guidance and collaboration are sought after by researchers and doctoral students from around the world. Dr. Anderson has also contributed to the Entrepreneurship discipline through his work as managing editor of the Journal of Small Business and Entrepreneurship and as co-editor of the Journal of Aboriginal Economic Development and the Journal of Enterprising Communities: People and Places in the Global Economy.
