Gerald Saul's work and interests extend to traditional and computer animation, handprocess film and cameraless animation techniques, narrative film screenwriting and production and film curation. He teaches Film and Video Production and Animation.

WORKS OF NOTE
- Work in progress – “Modern” a series of non-representational animated
works that examine digital/film convergence using computer graphics and
hand-processed film within a modern art framework.
- 2000-2005 – “Toxic”, a series of hand processed 16mm films chronicling
the personal challenges of illnesses and fatherhood.
- 2001 - Director of Photography, "Christmas at Wapos Bay", Dark Thunder productions, one-hour animated TV program.
- 1994-96 - Senior Animator, "Utopia Café" Television series.
- 1999 - Direction of long-form experimental documentary: "Twenty-Five short Films in and About Saskatchewan".
- 1999 - Direction of feature film "Life is Like Lint".
