The Department of Visual Arts are professional artists and dedicated art historians with national and international reputations. Studio faculty share their expertise in ceramics, drawing, painting, performance art, print media, sculpture and web-based art through their teaching as well as through their own practice. Current art history faculty investigate fields such as cultural studies, contemporary art, feminist art theory, and non-Western art, including Asian and Latin American art.
