The 30th Living Skies Student Film Festival

Thu., Mar. 8, 2018 12:00 a.m. - Sat., Mar. 10, 2018 11:59 p.m.

Location: Campion College Auditorium

The Living Skies Student Film Festival, which will take place March 8 – 10, 2018 at the University of Regina, will showcase student films from across Canada and around the world. It is an opportunity for the community to experience the emerging talent of local filmmakers, as well as create a sharing ground for film students across the country and around the globe.

Our festival features screenings of student work and workshop sessions presented by industry professionals. It is a cultural event, artistic outlet, and learning opportunity that culminates with our Awards Gala, held the evening of March 10, 2018.

The screenings and workshops are free and open to all. Tickets to the Awards Gala can be purchased at the screenings or at the door.

The Department of Film at the University of Regina offers the only BFA Film production program in Canada between the Great Lakes and the Pacific Ocean. Film students at the University of Regina have been organising a film festival since 1988 and in 2012 the festival was re-named the Living Skies Student Film Festival. The 2017 edition received more than 1500 submissions from more than 90 countries.
