University Information Technoloy Steering Committee (UITSC)

This committee has been formed to develop, update and communicate the vision and strategic objectives for the University with respect to information and data management, and information and communication technology. The Committee will develop any needed university wide policy with respect to information technology. The committee is to accomplish its mandate through inclusive and consultative processes that it shall design and implement. This committee will advise all levels of academic and administrative management as well as the Budget Committee on information technology project investments that will move the University forward in achieving its vision and strategic objectives. The committee shall report on a periodic basis the completion status of each project undertaken. On an annual basis the committee shall report on the degree to which the vision and strategic objectives of the university with respect to information technology are being achieved.
Advisory Committee on Research and Instructional Computer (ACRIC)

This sub-committee will oversee the implementation of the portfolio of instructional and research technology projects as prioritized for use by the University Information Technology Steering Committee (UITSC). This committee will ensure technologies in use are adequately maintained, upgraded and enhanced. This committee will identify when existing instructional and research technologies need to be replaced and make formal project replacement requests to the UITSC for consideration and prioritization. This committee will identify when new instructional and research technology solutions are needed to expand the capabilities of the university and will make formal new project requests to the UITSC for consideration and prioritization.
General Administrative Systems Planning Sub-Committee (GASP)

This sub-committee will oversee the implementation of the portfolio of administrative information technology projects as prioritized for use by the University Information Technology Steering Committee (UITSC). This committee will ensure these administrative technologies are adequately maintained, upgraded and enhanced during their life. This committee will identify when existing administrative technologies need to be replaced and make formal project replacement requests to the UITSC for consideration and prioritization. This committee will identify when new administrative technology solutions are needed to expand the capabilities of the university and will make formal new project requests to the UITSC for consideration and prioritization.

This subcommittee of the University Information Technology Steering Committee (UITSC) has been formed as the University of Regina's senior governance committee repsonsible to oversee institutional website development and implementation.
