JDC West – “Own the Podium”

The Paul J. Hill School of Business JDC West 2011 team placed 3rd as School of the Year in the JDC West Competition in Saskatoon over the weekend! This makes the Hill School the only school to place in the top 3 as School of the Year in the last four years in a row!

The Hill School JDC West 2011 team had a wonderful time and performed admirably in the face of fierce competition this weekend!

Based on the awards gala results, it is clear that our team had consistently strong placement in all case categories. Their long list of awards includes:

School of the Year: 3rd Place

MIS: 2nd Place

International Business: 3rd Place

Taxation: 3rd Place

Participation: 1st Place

Sport: 3rd Place

Charity: 1st Place (by a $22,000 margin over U of S)

Executive of the Year Award

The team also placed either 4th or 5th in some of the other case competition categories, but these results have not yet been released.

Sincere thanks to the many faculty members, alumni, and members of the business community who participated in coaching and assisting the team to its success. A special thanks also to Lisa Watson for her hard work as the team’s coach.
