Student Programs

Innovation Challenge

The Innovation Challenge is a 24-hour competition that gives University of Regina students the opportunity to work on interdisciplinary teams to develop viable solutions to real wicked problems. 

The program strives to cultivate cross-disciplinary teamwork by bringing together diverse student teams, allowing for a broader perspective and shared intellect. This equips participants with the necessary skills, mindset, and networks to effectively address complex challenges. Students walk away with hands-on problem-solving experience and the confidence to become catalysts for change in their respective fields. 

Women’s Mentoring Circle

The Women’s Mentoring Circle is a mentorship program for undergraduate and graduate women business students at the Hill Levene School of Business. Designed to support leadership development, confidence-building, and professional skill growth, participants connect regularly with Kathryn Pollack, the RBC Woman Executive in Residence mentor, and peers in a supportive setting. Sessions focus on real-world insights, leadership themes, and career exploration, helping students build strong networks and prepare for future opportunities.

Voices of Impact Webinar Series

The Voices of Impact Webinar Series is an engaging speaker program that connects students with successful First Nations, Métis, and Inuit entrepreneurs, storytellers, and thought leaders sharing their real-world journeys and insights. Each virtual session features a guest speaker discussing their experiences with entrepreneurship, culture, and leadership, followed by an interactive Q&A for students to ask questions and gain valuable perspectives. These sessions are led by Jada Yee, the Rawlinson Executive in Residence in Indigenous Entrepreneurship.

Around the Table: Leadership Conversations with Kathryn

This series invites students to join Kathryn Pollack, RBC Woman Executive in Residence and experienced business leader, or open, real-world discussions about leadership, challenges, and career insights. Held in the Business Collision space, each session features interactive conversation, food and refreshments, and opportunities for students to ask questions and connect with peers. The series is open to all students at the Hill and Levene Schools of Business and federated colleges, fostering leadership growth and community engagement.

Fail UP

Learning from Entrepreneurial Failure (Fail UP) is a non-credit program that offers an opportunity for transformational and experiential learning. This free cohort-based program is designed to help participants overcome the stigma associated with failure and embrace it as an integral part of the entrepreneurial process.

Digital Badges

Build in-demand skills and earn credentials that highlight your commitment to professional and personal growth.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Indigenization (DEII) Digital Badge: A flexible program that equips students with the knowledge and tools to champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and Indigenization in their studies, workplaces, and communities.

Imagineur: A free online program that introduces foundational concepts in business, innovation, and entrepreneurship, giving students practical, transferable skills taught by world-class Hill and Levene School educators.

Guidance from Industry Leaders

Leaders Council


The Leaders Council is a vibrant community of business and community leaders committed to advancing the mission of the Hill Levene School of Business. The Council:

  • Connects students and faculty to the business community.
  • Builds a strong peer network among leaders.
  • Supports the long-term sustainability of our School.
  • Provides members with opportunities to contribute meaningfully to education and community development.

Vision:
To be a prestigious and influential network that drives economic and social progress in Regina and beyond. The Council champions progressive business practices and actively supports our School through guidance, advocacy, and resources.

Industry Advisory Network


To enhance the relevance and responsiveness of academic programming in the Hill Levene School of Business, an Industry Advisory Network has been established to offer guidance to all undergraduate majors, diplomas, and embedded certificates. The Network comprises five distinct streams, each featuring experienced industry professionals with expertise aligned with the areas of Accounting, Finance, General Business Studies, Human Resource Management, and Marketing.  

The Network provides strategic guidance on curriculum, industry trends, skills development, student preparedness, and opportunities for experiential learning. Members serve as a consultative resource for the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs and are champions of the program, helping to bridge the gap between academia and industry.

Dean’s Advisory Council


The Dean’s Advisory Council provides strategic, external, and sector-informed advice to the Dean to support the School’s continued relevance, resilience, and strategic growth. Council members bring real-world perspectives that help guide priorities, strengthen connections, and promote the School’s mission within their networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic insight on the School’s priorities and initiatives.
  • Strengthen linkages with industry, community, and broader sectors.
  • Promote the School and its vision within their professional networks.
  • Advise on emerging trends and opportunities that impact business education.
  • Support continuous improvement and accreditation-related efforts.

Located on the 6th floor of the Education Building, the Business Collision Space is designed to bring ideas to life. It’s a flexible, collaborative environment where students and community members can brainstorm, prototype, and pitch their entrepreneurial ventures.
